Letter from the Editor

Ai InSite is a product of The Art Institutes, America’s Leader in Creative Education. We wanted a place where we could talk about the issues and trends that affect the industries we teach and the students we teach. Our programs fit into one of four main areas— design, fashion, culinary, and media arts. We decided to take a good look at those areas and what is happening out in the world where they are concerned. The result is Ai InSite.

It’s not enough to just teach art and design; we want to share our knowledge and depth through this innovative project. We tap the expertise, knowledge, and experience of our faculty members and talk to people currently working in the field to boost the credibility of the content.

Moving forward with Ai InSite, we will take a closer look at a variety of topics related to the art, design, culinary, and fashion communities. And we always want to hear from you — whether you comment on our stories or suggest a topic for us to address.

Ai InSite is for you. Whether you’re working in one of the industries we discuss, you’re considering attending an Art Institutes school, or you have an interest in what we’re talking about, we think you’ll find value in this content.

We hope you enjoy reading the stories offered through Ai InSite as much as we enjoy writing and researching them. Check back often, subscribe to the email newsletter, or get the RSS feed to keep reading!

The Art Institutes is a system of more than 40 education institutions located throughout North America.
